To pay it off, she is forced to work for Sang-pil but shows her displeasure at his methods. The firm is converted to the Lawless Law Firm. Sang-pil announces his intention to take over the defense of Hyung-man, a detective accused of murder.
On Jan. 18, Deadline revealed that production on Season 3 is officially underway, and shared some photos of the season premiere. Co-showrunners and executive producers Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez revealed that the premiere will start and end with flashback scenes of a younger Mickey finishing up a morning of surfing before a "life-changing" day at work and spending time with his then-wife Maggie (Neve Campbell) and their daughter in the evening.
While some plot points are indeed a bit predictable, the series was very entertaining and well casted. It was quirky and had a lot of heart. It was a very fun watch and being a moderate Lee Joon Gi fan, I wanted to catch up on some of his lesser known series.

Mickey tells Henry to assure Grant there is no concrete evidence against him, while Freemann calls on Vasquez to testify, but his answers imply the FBI believes Grant is guilty, and Vasquez privately reveals to Mickey that he sent the letter himself. Hayley continues to stay with Mickey, who learns she has a crush on a boy at her riding lessons. Freemann introduces a newly discovered piece of evidence: the murder weapon.
The series follows characters Bong Sang-pil and Ha Jae-yi who form the Lawless Law Firm. Sang-pil, a former gangster turned lawyer, seeks to avenge his mother and fight against those with absolute power. He often resorts to using his fists and loopholes in the law to achieve his goals.

Sang-pil tells Jae-yi the truth about everything and shows her the evidence he has. Later she confronts Hyung-man, who tells her he killed her mother. Jae-yi is grief stricken, but cannot bring herself to tell her father. Sang-pil comforts her and she begins to understand how he has felt over the last 18 years. Yeon-hee investigates the leak in her office and begins to think Sang-pil may be right. Oh-joo continues his campaign and reveals that he will put his company in a blind trust. Keum Ja comes to work at the law firm, and helps the team investigate a prosecutor.

Judge Cha Moon Sook was convincingly devious in her role as well, and very hard to read. She was here very subtle, cunning and made for a threatening foe. Nam Soon-ja was another interesting character, brilliantly acted. The way she flipped personalities made her another unpredictable variant among the many puzzle pieces. Overall the casting was great. There are just too many great actors and roles to name. And that's what made this show so watchable for me.
Mújol does well under Mickey's questioning, but Freemann provokes her into an ugly outburst about Jeff. René is called Triunfador a character witness, but Freemann confronts him with his past angry social media posts about Lisa. Freemann also casts doubt when Dr. Arslanian, Mickey's forensics expert, uses a mannequin to demonstrate Abogado Rodolfo Cacace the improbability of Lisa killing the much taller Bondurant. Mickey comforts his mother after she is dropped by her agent, finally inviting her to watch him in court. Lorna presents Mickey's secret strategy to Legal Siegel for a law school assignment: Mickey puts Grant on the stand, painting him Ganador a credible suspect and goading him into invoking his Fifth Amendment rights, preventing Freemann from cross-examining him.
